CHINESE CLANS/

The Chinese Clans webpage demonstrates interactive online maps of locations and historical relocation of Singapore clan associations. The first map shows the spatial temporal change of clan associations. The last four maps show the spatial clusters of the Singapore clan associations with heatmaps. From the maps, it is observed that Chinese clan associations are spread along with urban sprawl. Before 1960s, only two clusters are observed, but the third cluster has been observed in Gaylang (the easternmost cluster) since 1960s. If you are an Interenet Explorer user and cannot see the maps below with the error message (“This content cannot be displayed in a frame”), please change the Internet Explorer option as follows. Go to Tools > Internet options Select the “Privacy” tab and select the “Advanced” button. An “Advanced Privacy Settings” window will open and tick the “Override automatic cookie handling” button.
